Obituary

Wesley Nickelson, age 82 of Bottineau, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at a Bismarck hospital.  A private family service will be held.

Wesley D. Nickelson, a son of Gilbert and Grace (Carlson) Nickelson, was born on March 23, 1938 at Bottineau.  He was raised near Bottineau and attended country school.  He later went to Bottineau Public School.  Following his education, he went to work at Brandt's Service Station.  On October 30, 1960, he married Gloria Schultz at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Willow City.  Wesley became a mechanic at Frykman's Motors in Bottineau and worked there for 35 years.

Wesley was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, play cards and board games and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Gloria of Bottineau; daughters, Barb (Shawn) Browning of Daphne, AL and Leslie (Brian) Watson of Bismarck; son, Brad (Jodi) of Minot; grandchildren; Nathan (Puja) Browning, Briana (Andrew) Augustine, Patrick Watson and Lindsey Watson; great-granddaughter, Mila Browning; sisters-in-law, Harriet Nickelson and Leone Nickelson and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne Nickelson and Arlan Nickelson.
