Viola Isabel Nordmark, age 100 of Bottineau, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at a Bottineau nursing home.  Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.

Viola Olson was born on December 29, 1921 at the family farm near Landa, a daughter to Olaf Olson and Mathilda ( Floberg ) Olson.  She attended country school in Eidsvold township, and high school at Bottineau.

On January 12, 1946 Viola was married to Helmer "Bert" Nordmark.  They lived and farmed near Roth.  Viola and Bert moved to Bottineau in 1997.  Bert passed away in 1998.

Viola was a farm wife and homemaker.  She enjoyed baking, crocheting, and gardening, especially flowers.  Viola loved her cats and dogs.  She always liked to play cards with family and friends, and in later years very much looked forward to card games with her grandchildren.  She liked to watch "Jeopardy".

Viola was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Landa.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Helmer, brothers Bennie Johnson and Orlando Olson, sister Grace Olson, and great-granddaughter Hope Beahm.

She is survived by her son Forrest ( Glenda ) Nordmark of Souris, grandchildren Adam ( Christine ) Nordmark of St. Cloud, MN, Brian Nordmark ( Tasha Gorentz ) of Bottineau, and Vanessa (Justin) Nordmark-Beahm of Regina, SK, six great grandchildren, and nieces Lynda (Buster) Harrison, Lana Barnes and nephew Terrance Olson.
