Vinny Racine, age 54 of Dunseith, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his home.  His funeral will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic church in Dunseith.  His wake will began at 8:00 am also on Friday at the church.

Vincent was born to Alvin and Dorothy (Gunville) Racine on March 24, 1971.Blue. Vincent was a moan of unwavering strength, boundless love and deep wisdom.  Vincent was more than a father, he was a mentor, a guide and a constant source of support.  His laughter filled our home with joy and his kind heart made everyone feel welcome and loved.  He taught us the value of hard work, integrity and compassion and leading by example.  Vincent had many talents. His knowledge of playing poker was known around the community and surrounding areas.  You just never knew the cards he was holding with that poker face.  He loved hunting, fishing, derbying, pool, darts and he definitely had the gift of talking and visiting with everyone.  His legacy is one of resilience, kindness and unyielding love.  His memory will forever be in our hearts and we're grateful for the time we had with him.  Rest easy our dear Vincent.  You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will remain with us always.

He is survived by his children, Macey (Tyson) LaRocque, Vincent A. Racine, JR (Sada LaRocque); partner, Peggy Poitra; grandchildren, Tyson LaRocque, JR, Zayden Racine, Sawyer Racine, Callie LaRocque, Rhemi Racine, Parker Racine, baby boy Racine due in November, Zoee, Baille and Lillee Poitra; sisters, Julie Laducer (Clarence Allery Jr.), Gail Belgarde; brothers, Fred (Kathy) Laducer and Alvin Racine Jr (Vote).

He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Dorothy Racine; brother, Sylvester Laducer, JR; brother-in-law, Dennis Belgarde; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary (Chase) Gunville; paternal grandparents, Louis and Alice (Goodon) Racine; nieces, Lacey Higdem and Cortney Poitra; father-in-law, William Poitra; mother-in-law, Eleanor Poitra Amyotte; godparents; Lawrence Moe and Ella Racine.
