Tina Day, age 60 of Dunseith, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her home at Dunseith.  Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Anthony's Catholic Church near Dunseith.  Her wake will be on Monday starting at 4:00 pm at the church.

Tina Day, a daughter of George and Stella (LaFountain) Day, was born on June 5, 1961 in Belcourt.  She was raised in the Turtle Mountains on the family land.  She was married to Vincent Vivier. This marriage later ended.  Tina lived in several places through the years including, Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Minot, Grafton and back to Dunseith.  Tina worked at the heritage Center, the Turtle Mountain Plant, the Grafton State School and Turtle Mountain High School.  She also made starquilts, beadwork and regalia for tribal members.

Tina passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her home at Dunseith.

She is survived by her daughters, Krystal Vivier of Belcourt and Anna Day of Dunseith; son, Philbert Vivier of Belcourt; grandchildren, Clifton Vivier, Isaiah Poitra, Gracey Poitra, Daniel Poitra, Mataya Poitra, Caleb LaFountain, Gabrielle Allery, Jakobi Turcotte, Jacob Day, Jasmine Graham and Myah Roy; brothers, George and Robert Day; sisters, Doris Vivier and Serena Lenaz and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Bernice Day, Fred Day, Mary Day and Ronald Day.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
