Steven Desjarais, age 56 of Minot, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 in Minot.  Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.  The wake will be on Sunday starting at 4:00 pm with a prayers service at 7:00 pm at the church.

Steven Matthew Desjarlais was Born April 4, 1968 to Beverly Sturm and Joseph Desjarlais in Belcourt ND. He passed away in Minot ND on January 10th 2025, he was 56 years old.

Steven was raised and educated in Belcourt ND and completed his G.E.D in Belcourt. Steven Drove semi trucks for potato harvesting and during the off season he worked for various places.

Steven enjoyed listening to music, going to the game rooms and casinos to play his favorite machine "Fire and Ice" and various other slot machines. He loved spending time with his family and friends always joking and playing around.

Steven is survived by his 5 daughters Chelsie Desjarlais (Eddie Hernandez) Amber Desjarlais, Miranda Grant, Shannon Belgarde and Angel Decoteau. 12 grandchildren, 2 brothers Scott Balerud and Michael Desjarlais, 3 sisters Anita Pennington, Keri Balerud and kimberly short-Decoteau. Numerous nieces and Nephews.

Steven was proceeded in Death by his grandparents, his father Joseph Desjarlais, his 2 grandchildren Jericho Grant and Joshua Grant and a long time friend Delia (Tootsie) Lafrombois.
