Shileen Poitra, age 33 of Dunseith, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Spokane, WA.  Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith.  Her wake will be on Thursday starting at starting at3:00 pm at the center.

Shileen was born on March 16, 1988 to Geneise Parisien and Randy Poitra Sr in Grand Forks.  Shileen attended Ben Franklin School and Ycc.  She was loved by anyone she came into contact with her beautiful smile could light up any room.  She was always so energetic and happy at all times.  Shileen loved many different things but her number one all time favorite thing to do was to be outside in the outdoors and spending time with her twin and family.  She will be lovingly remembered and missed.

Shileen is survived by her mother, Geneise Parisien; mother, Randy Poitra Sr; siblings, Corey Poitra, Sharise Poitra, Patrick Poitra Sr, Randy Poitra Jr, Nicole Parisien, Shelby Tetrault, Preston Tetrault and her twin, Shareen Poitra.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Parisien; grandfather, August Parisien; grandparents, Elmer and Emma Poitra; brothers, Nickelos Poitra and many other family and friends.
