Sherri Gladue, age 57 of Dunseith, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at a Belcourt hospital. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith. Her wake will be on Tuesday starting at 4:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery near Dunseith.

Sherri was born to Richard and Madeline Morin on March 23, 1969, in Belcourt, ND. She was the baby of their eight children. Sherri attended school in Dunseith and graduated from Dunseith Public School. She also attended the Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, ND. Sherri met the love of her life, Michael Gladue and they were married on July 6, 1991. They have one son, Michael R. Gladue who married Danielle Belgarde and made Sherri and Mike the proud grandparents of twins, Soryn and Serenity (Serenity is in Heaven) Avalon and Xzayne. Sherri was an excellent cook and loved to try new recipes; she was an avid fan of the Cooking Channels in addition to the Travel Channel. She liked to fish occasionally and delighted in riding their 4- wheeler and their motorcycle. She was so comfortable riding motorcycle that she could fall asleep while on a ride (of course Mike was doing the driving). She was very artistic, and many family members and her friends have paintings that she gave to them. She also liked to design clothes & kept up with the latest trends. Anyone who knew Sherri knows that her truck with the license plate named “Koruptd” was a great joy to her with its loud pipes and putting her foot to the metal. She loved her son, Mikey & her grandbabies so much and when Mikey told her he loved her and what did she want him to do – She said, “Love your family”. She had a kind heart and when you left after a visit with her - she would say, “I love you.”

They have always lived in Dunseith, ND – and Sherri was employed by ALCO when it first opened and continued to work there for 11 years. Later she worked at the Dunseith Security Bank for 11 years and the Turtle Mountain State Bank in Belcourt for 4 years and at Wayne’s Jack and Jill Store in Dunseith for approximately 4 years. She was also employed by Indian Health Service in Belcourt for a short time when she found that she had metastatic breast cancer in December of 2021. She had surgery and was treated with chemo & radiation until July 2023. The cancer came back with a vengeance in December 2024. It metastasized to her bones, her brain and her lungs. She had brain surgery and started treatments again and this fine, strong woman lost her battle with cancer in April 2026.

Sherri is survived by husband Michael Gladue, her son Mikey (Danielle) Gladue, grandchildren Soryn, Avalon, Xzayne all of Dunseith. Brother, Bernard (Robin) Morin (Dunseith) Sister, Gail (Ray) Trottier (Belcourt) and many nieces and nephews.

Sherri was preceded in death by her Grandbaby, Serenity Gladue, her parents, Richard and Madeline Morin. Sisters, Donna Kjorsvik, Alison Morin, Connie Vivier Brothers, Duane and Claude Morin.
