Sharon Bjornson, 71, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2019, at St. Andrews Hospital in Bottineau, North Dakota. Born July 29, 1947, Sharon spent her entire life in Bottineau. A graduate of Bottineau High School, she worked at the Bottineau Court House in Social Services for 40 years.

Sharon always spoke highly of the close co-workers and friends she spent time with over the years. She really enjoyed taking drives in the country while listening to music. She loved spending time at her cabin on Lake Metigoshe, exploring the lake on her wave runner, and spending time in the Park. She also enjoyed taking her mother on shopping trips to various towns in North Dakota.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold F. and Inga A. Bjornson, of Bottineau. She is survived by her brother, Duane Bjornson (Judith), two nieces, Kris (Melinda), and Noel (Tim), of Anchorage, Alaska, and nephew, Steve (Anna), two grand-nieces, Katherine and Karlotta, and grand-nephew, Kristian, of Rye, New York.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of Sharon's friends, and to the clergy and staff of St. Andrew's for the support, care and compassion they gave.

Sharon was a member of First Lutheran Church of Bottineau. A memorial service will be held at the Nero Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, Sharon hoped donations be made to the American Kidney Fund.
