Obituary

Selma Wolf, age 101 of Bottineau, died Tuesday at a Bottineau hospital.  Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Burial will be at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau.

Selma "Sally" Wolf, a daughter of Albert and Ottelia Welner, was born on November 3, 1916 on the family farm near Bottineau.  She attended country school in Amity Township and later Bottineau High School.  On November 3, 1937, she married Clarence Wolf at Bottineau.  They farmed in the Bottineau area until they purchased their own farm in Cecil Township.  They later moved into Bottineau but continued to operate the farm.  Clarence passed away on November 18, 1990.  Selma continued to make her home in Bottineau.

Sally was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and bird watching.  She also loved to travel.  She and her nephew, Curtis traveled throughout the United States and also to Mexico and Germany.

Sally passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at a Bottineau hospital.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Beckman of Bottineau and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Alice (Louis) Hahn and Lydia (Herman) Pelhing and brothers, Hilford Beckman and Emil (Marion) Beckman.
