Sandra K Mattson age 64 passed away on January 3 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center in Bottineau ND from natural causes. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 15 th at 11:00 am at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Rolette. A prayer will be held on Sunday, January 14 th starting at 5:00 pm at the church.
She was born August 8, 1953 in Devils Lake, ND to Darrell and Mavis Burdick. Darrell passed away in 1954 from natural causes. Mavis remarried in 1958 to Glenn Overby and later Glenn adopted Sandy and her sister Deb and they raised them and 4 siblings on a farm in Bisbee, ND.
Sandy met Gary Mattson in 1970 and they were married on March 25, 1971. They resided on the family farm in Rolette ND and raised 8 children there. Sandy went to college at Mayville State University and received her Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology. She worked from home helping others with any computer issues that they had.
Sandy had 14 Grandkids that she enjoyed spending time with. She loved reading and watching Investigative television shows. She is survived by her Husband Gary Mattson, Children, Clifton Mattson (Alicia) of Rolette, Rhonda Kittleson of Bottineau, Heath Mattson (Andrea) of Rolette, Andrea Medlang (Beau) of Bottineau, Dusty Mattson (Samantha) of Bismarck, Kimberly Longie of Bottineau, Cody Mattson (Kali) of Bismarck, Casey Mattson of Rolette. Grandchildren, Austin Kittleson, Chelsie Mattson, Tessa Mattson, Bailey Mattson, Bradley Medlang, Danica Medlang, Blake Mattson, Morgan Longie, Jacob Mattson, Easton Medlang, Lucas Mattson, Malia Mattson and Brayan Mattson. Parents Glenn and Mavis Overby of Devils Lake. Siblings, Deb Jasper of Fargo, Paul Overby (Diane) of Wolford, Steve Overby (Lisa) of TX, Trudy Eide (Tom) of Fargo. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by Grandparents Olga and Melvin Hjelden, Ralph and Lucy Burdick, Olga and Mentz Overby, Brother Daniel Overby, Grandson Christopher Medlang.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
