Roxanne Albert, age 68 of Westhope, passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at her home in Westhope. A celebration of life for Roxanne will be announced at a later date, after the holidays.

Roxanne Lynette Becker Albert was born October 24, 1953 in Bottineau, ND, 4 ^th child of Gordon and Dolores (Mickelson) Becker. She lived on the family farm northwest of Upham and started school there before moving with her family to Seattle, WA in 1966. In 1970 the family returned to ND settling in Mohall, ND where she finished her senior year and graduated from Mohall in 1971.

Roxanne married Steve Albert on Jan 21, 1972 moving to Modesto, CA close to his parents. They had 2 sons, Jason and Ryan. They would later divorce and Roxanne moved back to ND in 1981.

She spent the next years in North Dakota living in Grand Forks, Newburg, Souris, Landa , Roth, Westhope working at C&R cleaners, Sund Manufacturing, DEVA, Landa Bar, Souris Bar, Gateway and the last 3 years handling the gaming tickets and machines for the Westhope Senior Citizens.

To say Roxanne was a seamstress, hardly seems adequate. She did not always live up to her talent but when she did, she could sew anything, and in some cases, developing the pattern herself. Her desire to sew started on her Mom's treadle sewing machine back on the farm in ND when she ran the needle through her little finger. And her talent touched the lives of nieces and great nieces for proms and weddings, friends, family, neighbors and customers looked to her expertise for oil field zippers to cuddly stuffed animals, alterations at an exclusive bridal shop and even creating her own design at DEVA, called the "Landa Jacket". Many times the needle and thread was her only source of income. Roxanne was content with the life she chose, no matter the circumstance around her, and I quote, "Living my best life".

Roxanne is survived by her sons, Jason (Jacquelyn) Mohall ND and Ryan(Erin) Minden, Nevada and also her sweet canine companion Rita, who was by her side; sisters, Carolyn (Don) Torr, Brighton, CO, Julie (Rodney) Cargo, Warroad, MN, Russell (Diann) Becker, Mohall, ND, Kirby (Joanne) Becker, Mesa, AZ, Grandchildren Jaydrian Albert, Zach Lefebvre, Samantha Lefebvre, Clarice Albert, Charlie Albert, Maddie Surane, Jacob Surane.

She was preceded in death by Grandparents, parents, brother Bradley Gordon, and sister Rita Bethke Kitzman.
