Rose Marie Lafromboise, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home on March 9. 2026.  Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 8:30 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.

Rose was born on September 16 1960, Belcourt, North Dakota, to Marcelline Fayant and Francis Lafromboise. Rose grew up around the Belcourt area up until her teenage years. Rose soon met the father of her children (Lindsey Blue) and married July 1977 having 7 beautiful children.

Rose and Lindsey then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, September 1977, and lived there until 1990. She then moved back to Grand Fork's, ND, started school at UND where she got accepted into the nursing program. In 1997 she moved back to the turtle mountains to be closer to her family. When she moved back to the Turtle mountains she began employment at Uniband and a care giver where she enjoyed working with her clients.

Rose was a devoted Daughter ,Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Rose really enjoyed the company of friends and family. She also really enjoyed thrifting, collecting tons of jewelry, sewing and quilting, telling her children stories and spending a lot of time with her grandchildren which she enjoyed the most.

Rose is survived by her children Levi, Crystal (Jack) Lucas, Elizabeth, Jennifer (Bradly), Lindsey (Travis) and Bronson. Brothers : Benny Carrington. Sisters ; Jeanita and Bonnie Lafromboise, Cynthia and Clemence Keplin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents from each side of the family; Children: Louis and leonard; (daughter in-law) Karlee Hunt- Blue; (father) Francis Lafromboise; (mother) Marcelline Fayant; (brothers) Joe Keplin, Robert Lafromboise, nieces/ nephews, aunts/ uncles, and cousins.
