Obituary

Rollin Brusven, age 60 of Bottineau, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau.  A time of lunch and fellowship will follow the service at the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau.
Rollin Ray Brusven, a son of Alexander and Mae (Helgeson) Brusven, was born on July 4, 1958 at Bottineau.  He was raised in Bottineau and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1976.  He worked as the manager of the Eagle's Club, as ranger at the Lake Metigoshe State Park as a photographer and later at the Take 5 C-Store.    Later, he did roofing work with Jack Stewart and then worked as an assistant manager at MTI for 15 years.  In 2003 he married Julie Lawless.  This marriage later ended.
Rollie enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, archery, golfing, playing club hockey and spending time at the lake.
He is survived by his brothers, Dennis of Devils Lake, Bob and his wife, Shelia of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Don of Fargo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julie Brusven.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
