Roger (TonKa) Daniel Peltier was born on September 17, 1974 to Curtis and Patlene (St. Claire) Peltier in Rolette, ND. He passed away at the age of 50 in a Grand Forks hospital. His funeral will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith. His wake will be held on Thursday, January 2nd starting at 4:00 at the center.
Roger grew up in the Dunseith area and lived in Texas for a time. He was raised by his parents and later on by his grandparents Edward and Madeline Peltier. He enjoyed hunting and fishing until his health became too much for him. Roger attended school at Dunseith Public school graduating in1994. He participated in Football and was crowned Homecoming Prom King. He was drafted by the Minnesota Gophers but life had other plans for him.
Roger is survived by his mother Patlene (Richard) Charbonneau of Belcourt and father Curtis (Delima) Peltier of Dunseith. Siblings Heather (Seth) Huberger of Iowa, Shinelle (Rick) Prudhomme of Moorhead, MN, Curtis Peltier Jr. of New York, Celesta Peltier of Moorhead, MN, Justin Peltier of Moorhead, MN, Mary (Peltier) Carney of Grand Forks, ND, Richard Charbonneau Jr, Joy Charbonneau, Rheannon Charbonneau, Kevin Charbonneau all of Belcourt, ND and Lacinda Charbonneau of Ft. Totten, ND and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Madeline Peltier, Vernon and Mary Rose St. Claire and godfather David Hunt.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
