Obituary

Robert Pollman Sr., age 94 of Willow City, died Sunday at the HAMC nursing home in Rugby, ND.  His funeral will be held on Thursday July 12th, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Willow City.  Visitation will be on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 pm with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau, ND.
Robert Devere Pollman son of Thomas Roy and Mary Louise (Miller) Pollman was born on June 12, 1924 in Georgetown, IL.  Bob grew up in Georgetown and in 1943 moved to Willow City, ND to work on his uncle  Harry Miller's farm.  In August of 1945 he was drafted to serve in the US Army.  He was stationed in Germany and in January of 1947 he received an Honorable Discharge.  Bob then returned to Willow City where he again worked  for his Uncle Harry.  On July 17, 1951, Bob married Lorraine Hoff in Willow City.  In 1963 they purchased Lorraine's family farm.
He was a member of the Willow City Notre Dame Catholic Church and a 70 year member of the Willow City American Legion.
Bob was the loving husband of Lorraine (Hoff) Pollman.  They were married 65 years before Lorraine passed away on February 22nd, 2016. Bob's dream of being a farmer came true when he purchased the Hoff farm in Willow city. Bob and Lorraine had eight children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and lifelong friends. When Bob was not outside he could be found watching the Viking's or Twin's games on TV. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each grandchild had a special place in his heart and in turn him in theirs's.
Bob is survived by his children, Steve Pollman (Colleen) of Willow City, Jeff Pollman (Becky) of Bottineau, James Pollman (Penny) of Willow City, Merrilee Pollman of Bismarck, Raul Pollman (Nick) of Minneapolis, Suzanne Nelson (Arnell) of Rolette, Holly Pollman of Bismarck and Robert Pollman Jr of Willow City; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister in law Betty (Hoff) Pollman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements were with the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net .
