Obituary

Rhonda Marie Duchscherer, age 47 of Rugby, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her daughters home in Rugby.  Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.  Her wake will be on Thursday beginning at 5:30 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the church.

Rhonda Marie Duchscherer, a daughter of Raymond Sr. and Donna (DeCoteau) Houle, was born on April 2, 1971 at Belcourt.  She was raised in Dunseith where she attended Dunseith Public Schools.   She later earned an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Si Tanka University in Huron SD.  On November 20, 2015, she married Jerome Duchscherer in Rugby.  Through the years, her favorite job was bartending where she made friends easily and she had many.

Rhonda loved being a grandmother.  She enjoyed making big holiday meals for her family.  She also enjoyed karaoke and playing bingo.  She was very generous.  Anything you gave her she gave away to someone else that needed it.

She is survived by he husband, Jerome Duchscherer of Rugby; children, Matthew (Melissa) Houle of Jamestown, Dorinda (David) Hall of Bismarck, Jay (Jennifer) Houle of Bismarck, Brittney (Gary) Everett of Detroit, MI, Stephanie Reph of Wilmington, DE and Nicholas Belgarde of Rugby; 20 grandchildren; parents, Raymond and Donna Houle; siblings, Ramona Houle, Conrad (Leslie) Houle, Christopher (Wendy) Houle, Raymond (Betty) Houle Jr, Raedonna (Brian) Matheny, Raynold (Desa) Houle, Raquel Johnson, Raymond Forrest Houle and Rueben (Roberta) Houle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jordan Ashley; adopted son, Joseph Charbonneau; paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Houle; maternal grandparents, Oliver and Mabel DeCoteau; brothers, Raynard Royce Houle and John Paul Houle; sister, Michelle Marie Houle; infant sister, Dorinda Houle;  nephew Davey Lynn Belgarde and one grandson, Brian Joseph Carry Moccasin.
