Phyllis Marie Hoiland-Watson, 90, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away on July 27,2021 at her home.

Phyllis Marie was born to Ernie and Mabel Piquette on January 19, 1931 . She was raised in Maxbass, ND and graduated from Maxbass High School in 1949.  In 1951 she and Charles Watson Jr. were united in marriage. This union blessed them with five children which they raised on their family farm near Maxbass. .

Phyllis was known for her baking especially those delicious "Caramel Rolls" and for her love of country music and dance, having fun socializing with family and friends. Her crafting brought her hours of enjoyment so much so that she had opened up a little gift shop in Westhope.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Mary) of Bottineau and Randy (Arm) of Stanley; daughters ,Pam of LaQuita, CA and Lora Lee of Palm Desert, CA. Seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Yvonne and Darla, and her brother, Daryl.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Joseph; and her

sister, JoAnn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held October 23,2021 at English Lutheran Church in Maxbass at 2:00 pm followed by a time of fellowship.
