Peggy Prellwitz, age 73 of Willow City, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at a Minot hospital. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau with visitation starting one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery near Willow City with lunch to follow at the Willow City Community Hall.
Peggy Prellwitz, a daughter of Edwin and Gladys (Hanson) Klebe, was born on June 15, 1949 at Bottineau. She attended country school and later graduated from Willow City High School. On August 30, 1967, she married Ken Prellwitz. They made their home on a farm near Willow City. Over the years, Peggy worked at her parents grocery store in Willow City, the Good Samaritan Center in Bottineau, she cooked at the Willow City School and also managed a four-plex in Willow City. In 2006, they moved into Willow City.
Peggy was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Willow City and later the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Willow Creek. She was active in the Willow City American Legion Auxiliary, the Willow City Senior Citizens and the Willow City Homemakers. She enjoyed baking bread, cookies and donuts.
She is survived by her husband, Ken of Willow City; daughter, Pamela (Walter) Merriam of Calhan, CO; son, Vance (Bonnie) Prellwitz of Willow City and daughter, Jennifer (Shawn) Rowland of Pendelton, SC; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Terry, Douglas and Craig; sister, Jackie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
