Patricia Overby, age 71 of Dunseith, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at a Minot nursing home.  A service will take place at a later date.

Patricia Overby, a daughter of Andrew and Ella (Christenson) Medrud, was born on December 28, 1949 at Bottineau, ND.  She attended Medrud School in Cordelia Township until moving into Dunseith and attending Dunseith High School.  She graduated in 1968 and on November 15, 1968, she married Jerry Overby at Dunseith.  She worked at the Dunseith Drive-In and San Haven.  She stayed in Dunseith with her parents while Jerry served in the US Army.  In 1971, they moved to Williston.  They moved to Minot for a time before returning to Dunseith.  She worked at TMC for a short time.  She was loving wife and mother to her 3 sons.  In the late years, she was a loving grandmother to her 7 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Dunseith; 3 sons, Jason (LeeAnn) Overby of Devils Lake, Chad (Meagan) Overby of Williston and Jeremy (Amy) Overby of Williston; 7 grandchildren, Desire, Andrew, Graedyn, Emerson, Alexis, Arilyn and Isaac; sisters, Judy Smith and Connie (Albert) Elgin; brother, Rodney (Mary) Medrud and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronnie Medrud and one sister, Wanda Medrud.
