Oliver Reing, age 93 of Bottineau, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at his home near Bottineau.  His funeral will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau.  Visitation will be Sunday starting at 1:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

Oliver V. Reing, a son of Arvid and Ethel (Pederson) Reing, was born on October 10, 1930 in Ruthton, MN.  He was raised in Bottineau and graduated from Bottineau High School.  On July 11, 1954, he married Marlene Lee in Bottineau.  They made their home in Omemee, ND for a time before moving to the farm on the north side of Bottineau.  Oliver was an electrician and over the years, he worked for the Coal Creek Power Plant, R & O Contracting and Northern Electric.  Oliver also farmed near Bottineau, Omemee and Gardena.  Marlene passed away on February 22, 2016.

Oliver was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau.

He is survived by his daughter, Marlee Rae (Jim) Fulsebakke of Bottineau; sons, Mike Reing of Bottineau, Steve (Kim) Reing of Minot and Rick (Ann) Reing of Cedar, MN; 7 grandchildren Stephanie (Scot) Swain of Minot, Dane Reing of Minot, Chesney (Sam) Arneson of Bismarck, Kari Eik of Elk River, MN, Jessi Oliver of Minneapolis, MN, Josh (Mindy) Fulsebakke of Holmen, WI  and Brittany (Lee) Westby of Bismarck; 13 great-grandchildren, Devin, Dalton, Paige, Tyler, Caleb, Payten, Aalyse, Kolton, Karston, Aiden, Jennings, Lenni, and Wells; sister-in-law, Debbie (Darrel) Stokes and brother-in-law, Kevin (Deb) Lee.
