Monna Jane "Mitzi" Teske, age 77 of Bottineau, ND passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2023 at St. Andrews Hospital, Bottineau, ND.

Monna Jane Teske was born July 26th, 1945 near Upham , ND , the daughter of the late Ada and Melvin Smette.  She grew up on a farm near Upham ND .  She was united in marriage to Harvey Teske on June 17th 1966 in Upham ND . Harvey passed away in 2017 but they continued their love for 57 years.They later moved to Bottineau ND where they raised their son Bradley Teske.  The couple also lived in Devils Lake ND where they spent time gardening and working outdoors. The couple also enjoyed going to the casino and just enjoying spending a night out on the town. They eventually retired and moved to their hometown of Bottineau ND . Mitzi was also a member of First Lutheran Church Bottineau. She continued to reside in their home until April 2023 when she became ill.

Mitzi worked at A & W drive in Bottineau, Sigurdson's Drug store, Bottineau, Wondrasek Photography Bottineau, United States Postal Service, Border States Paving, St Andrews Hospital food service Bottineau and Dakota College food service Bottineau.

Mitzi enjoyed life to the fullest, always having a positive attitude with no complaints.  She so loved her husband and family and her many dogs that her and Harvey shared. She always looked forward to Bella (her special grand dog) coming to visit with Brad on the mail route as Bella would sit with her in her wheel chair and go to sleep in her lap. Bella was always a joy to her. She loved having company who would enjoy a cup of coffee along with a huge display of her baked goods. Mitzi was an extraordinary cook and loved filling her table for friends and family to enjoy. She spent alot of time writing letters and sending cards to loved ones and friends. You could always count on Mitzi to put a smile on your face with her loving thoughts and great humor. She always put others before herself and was respected by many. She will forever be missed.

She is survived by her son: Bradley H Teske, special long time friend Katie, sister Marva Dean Smith of Minot, Mick (Merlyn) Smette of Bottineau, sister-in-law Florence Smette of Upham, brother-in-law  Darrell Teske  and sister-in-law Marjorie Teske, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Teske, parents Ada and Melvin Smette, sister Shirley Obrien, Eugene brother-in-law Obrien Jr. of Upham, and brother Donnie Smette of Upham, brother-in-law, Curtis Smith, parents-in-law, Max and Anna Teske; sister-in-law, Karen Smette, sister-in-law, Phoebe Teske, brother-in-law, Gale Teske, nephew, Mark Smette, Grandparents and many Aunts and Uncles. If we have forgotten anyone we apologize.

We appreciate the St Andrews hospital staff for their loving care.

No services will be held. Cremation has taken place per Mitzi's final wishes.
