Michael David Grant, age 59 of Dunseith, died Monday, January 6, 2020 at a Belcourt hospital.  His funeral will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.  Wake will be Sunday with a prayer service starting at 7:00 pm at the Church.

Michael David Grant, a son of Walter Grant and Theresa Peltier Swain, was born on April 23, 1960 at Belcourt.  He moved to Dunseith in 1974.  On February 3, 1986, he married Natalie Belgarde.  He worked for O.C. Schulz and Sons in Crystal, ND during the harvest season from 1982 until 2019.

Michael was baptized at St. Ann's Catholic church in Belcourt and was confirmed on April 19, 2003 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.  Michael and Natalie's marriage was blessed by the Catholic Church on December 31, 2019.

Michael passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at a Belcourt hospital.

He is survived by his wife Natalie Grant of Dunseith; 2 sons, Mike Grant and Todd Grant; 3 daughters, Elvira Grant, Charlene Grant and Tiffany Grant; 15 grandchildren, Xander Crissler, Daylyn Vivier, Kinzly Freeze, Jonathan Grant, Nellie Grant, Anthony Grant, Clint Vivier, Sharon Poitra, Patrick Poitra, Nathaniel Poitra, Jasmin Poitra, Todd Grant Jr, Gabriel Grant, Steven Williams and Zayne Grant; 3 great grandchildren, Cambridge, Daytona and Jossidy Grant; brothers, Jeff, Andrew and Walter Grant; sisters, Resa Swain and Sandra Short and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Grant and Theresa Swain; brothers, Louis Swain and Dale Grant and sisters, Elizabeth Lafromboise and Charlene Grant.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
