Michael Lawrence Burcham a resident of Bottineau, ND was born March 4th, 1960 in Coos bay Oregon to Ervin and Geneva (Howe) Burcham and passed away on December 26th, 2025 at Trinity Health Medical Center in Minot, ND due to Heart failure.

Mike grew up in Dunseith, ND and had 7 siblings Mark, Dave, Theresa, Patty, Kathy, Crissy and Justin. He settled in Wadena, MN where he raised a family, started several clubs and ran for mayor. He was a Turtle Mountain Tribal member who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as motorcycles and coffee in the morning. Many would say they met him in a cafe.

Mike was married to Debra Nelson (1981), Bonnie Elller, and Jackie Sim (1997).

A Dad to Samantha Burcham, Stephen McCord, Zachary Burcham (passed in 2017), Justin Stallman and Ervin Burcham.

A Grandpa to Ashley Aarseth, Gauge Malone, Morgan Malone, Kayden McCord, Harley Andert, Grayson McCord, Natalie Trill, Rohan McKnight, Waylon McCord, and Haven McCord.

The funeral gathering for Mike's spirit Journey will be held at The Eagle Heart Lodge in Dunseith, ND Friday January 2nd, 2026 at 1pm. Final resting place with his father and son at Riverside Cemetery.
