Melvin Francis Cree, stillborn son of Dacotah Frederick and Paul Cree, passed away on June 14, 2025 at a Fargo hospital.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Dunseith Jesus Name Church. Officiating at the service is Pastor Todd Belgarde.  Music will be provided by Velda Belgarde.  Casket bearers are Larry Beston Jr, David Cree and Steven Cree.  Burial is at the Belgarde Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Dakota Frederick and Paul Cree; grandparents, Melanie LaRocque, Paul Cree Sr, Larry Beston, Sr, Angie Greshik; great-grandma, Adeline Greshik; aunts, Melodie Beston and Josepha Kuemper; uncles, David Cree, Steven Cree, Dennis Frederick, Larry Beston Jr and Lance Cree.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Jeff LaRocque, great-grandparents, Dennis Greshik, Dennis Frederick, Juanita Frederick and Melvin and Sharon Cree; cousin, Langston James Beston and numerous aunts and uncles.
