Luther Vinje age 82 of Landa, passed away Friday March 9, 2018 at his home near Landa.

Luther was born and raised on the Vinje farm Southeast of Landa, N.Dak. He graduated from Landa high school. Luther joined the National Guard in 1962. After serving for one year, he returned to farm with his parents Lewis and Dagny. He continued farming after his fathers death in 1966 until his retirement in 1999. Luther was a avid Minnesota Vikings & NASCAR  fan. Per Luther's request there will not be a service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister-in-law Elgie Vinje.

He is survived by his brother Donovan Vinje, Garrison. Four nephews and one niece along with their families.

Memorials can be sent to Donovan Vinje 719 4th Ave NE Apt 112 Garrison, ND 58540. Donovan wants it known that all memorials sent to him will be donated to the Mouse River Cemetery Fund.
