Lori Halvorson of Dunseith passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Nursing home in Bottineau, ND on January 16, 2024.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Rendahl Cemetery near Dunseith.

Lori was born on August 15, 1962, in Rolette ND to Lester and Dorothy (Christianson) Halvorson. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Dunseith ND. Lori worked in Minot for a while before she went to UND in Grand Forks. She then went to Phoenix and went to Travel Agent School, where she worked as an agent and also in Chicago, Minneapolis and Fargo. She then attended a two-year Bible training program at Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. From there she worked and lived in Arkansas and Branson Mo., before moving back to live on the family farm.

Lori enjoyed singing and attending to her flowers. Lori loved the turtle mountains and taking long walks with her beloved Dogs. Lori was proceeded in death by her mother Dorothy, and is survived by her father Lester Halvorson, Sisters, Gail (Larry) Schuler, Lynette (Greg) Otto, Donna (Kurt) Krim, and brother Michael Halvorson and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is planned for this coming spring.
