Obituary

Loren Marlowe Klebe was born May 2, 1959 to Robert and Marilyn (Haakenstad) Klebe in Botttineau. He passed away on Tuesday Nov 7, 2023 at a Minneapolis hospital. His funeral will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11:00 at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

Loren grew up on the family farm, halfway between Upham and Willow City, with his three brothers, two sisters, and many cousins who lived close by for many adventures and wild fun.

Loren was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Willow City and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Faith was very important to Loren and even though he had his kids every other weekend, he made sure they were confirmed.

He graduated from Upham in 1977 and continued his education at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. His Aunt said that Loren was born with the word mechanic stamped on his forehead. He started working at Frykman's in Bottineau until they closed and then went on to McGuire's in Rugby. He was very proud of his 44 years working on Fords. He was ASE Certified, a Senior Master Tech for Ford, and had a Master Certification in Dodge. Loren's customers came from all over the state to have him troubleshoot their problems. He designed the SRD35 Torque Adapter for use on the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine for Snap-On in 2008. He was starting to build his dream shop "Wooden Wheel Garage" to work on Model T's and Model A's.

Loren was married to Valerie Bachmeier. This marriage later ended. They had three kids together. Loren's kids were the joy of his life and he would drop everything to go help them.

Loren met his perfect match at his kid's Christmas program when Karen Hall's dad sat down at the table Loren was sitting at with his daughter, RaeAnn. They started dating in February 1993 and were married July 7, 2012. Karen's nickname for Loren is "her turtle". Their time was spent with his kids and the grandchildren enjoying time at the "Farmhouse." There were many wagon rides to the bridge and family camping trips in the summer. (Loren getting stuck in the playground equipment to have the grandkids get him unstuck) In the winter, there was snow tubing time, hunting and eating flat sticks. Loren also enjoyed going to car, motorcycle and threshing shows and working on Model T's.

As Loren's kids say he just made everything fun.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; Three children: Tyler (Mandie) Klebe of Grand Forks, Robert (Katie) Klebe of Burlington, RaeAnn (Donnie) Nelson of Minot; 6 grandchildren Taryn, Justin, Brayden and Andrea Klebe, Elizabeth and Isla Nelson and his 4th child; Lucky Spot (the rescued cat). Brothers: Paul, Wayne and Danny (Beth) Klebe; Sisters: Lisa (Dale) Warner and LeAnn (Jeff) Gilmore. Father and Mother-in-law: Gordon and Marilyn Hall. Brothers-in-law; David (Dyann), Jerry and Larry Sivertson, Jimmy Hall. Sister-in-law Melonie (Robin) Bowers. Uncle Ron (Norma) Klebe and Aunt Flossy Smette and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Waiting to meet him with open arms were his parents, Robert and Marilyn Klebe.
