In Memory of our mom Lois Elaine Patterson (born 06/26/1931) of Souris ND, who passed on at St. Andrews Hospital in Bottineau ND (01/15/2025), at 93 years old after a brief stay.

Lois was Married to Neil Mickelson prior to his plane crash, and to Robert Patterson for the majority of her life after. She loved keeping abreast of her children and their families, including trips out of state to be part of the action. An  independent woman, initially Lois lived the vigorous early North farm life, including pumping and hauling water by hand to survive and function on the farm, caring for 3 young children, when Neil was away for work.  Mom also managed the farming operation with Bob after moving to the farm closer to Souris. Lois had a deep affinity for this farm, with her vegetable and flower gardens, chickens, dogs and especially her cats, and lived there into the year 2024.

Lois " The Cat Warrior " has deeply inspired us to get the most out of life in our short time here. Her mindset was fully in the moment with an adventurous, youthful soul.

She is survived by her children Dwight, Roxanne and Kelly. Cremation and private ceremony upon request. We say goodbye to our mother Lois with a message of appreciation:
