Lisa Marie Azure, age 58, of St. John, ND, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Bottineau, ND. Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Belcourt, ND. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary at 11:00 a.m., and funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Lisa was born on March 5, 1966, in Belcourt, ND, to George and Gladys (Roussin) Azure. She was raised in Rolette County and completed her high school diploma at Dunseith High School, graduating a year early in 1983. Lisa furthered her education at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton and North Dakota State University in Fargo. She also applied to Minot State University in Business but was unable to coplete a college degree.

Lisa Azure met the love of her life, Marshall Parisien, around 1995. They soon moved in together and were blessed with two amazing girls, Kayla and Kylie Parisien.

One of Lisa's favorite things was revolving her life around her sweethearts. Lisa was a dedicated mother who attended her daughters' sporting events, supported their endeavors in life, and, most of all, as she used to say, "spoiled them rotten." Lisa will be remembered for her personality by how she socializes with everyone, with a smile that is so big and a laugh that is so contagious. She had the ability to cheer up any room, and she always offered to lend a helping hand. Lisa also enjoyed listening to music and dancing to the beat. She found joy in playing KEYA bingo and Clifford with her family and would jump out of her chair when she would win. Furthermore, Lisa liked going for drives, eating out, and catching up with her friends. She will continue to live on through her spouse, children, parents, siblings, and extended family members who loved her dearly.

Lisa was a friend to many and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her significant other, Marshall Parisien; her daughters, Kayla and Kylie Parisien of St. John; her mother, Gladys Azure of Dunseith; sister, Sherry (Stacy) Counts of Dunseith; brothers, Lyle "Pug" Azure of Dunseith, Daniel "Shane" (Erika) Azure of Portland, ND, and Shannon "Zack" (Kerry) Azure of Dunseith; godchildren, Garren Counts of Williston, Lee Roussin of Bottineau, and Kelle Davis of Bottineau; stepsons, Christopher "Chris" (Shanowa) Parisien of St. John and Jacob "Jake" (Salina) Parisien of Anchorage, AK; and numerous nieces, great-niece, nephews, great-nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her dad, George Azure; godmother, Delores Belgarde; grandparents, Frank (Lum) and Agnes Azure and Louis and Clemence Roussin; father and mother-in-law, Phillip and Corrine Parisien; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
