Linda Torgerson, age 83 of Bottineau, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at a Bottineau hospital. Her service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall in Bottineau. Lunch and fellowship will be held at the Bottineau Senior Citizens Building following the service.
Linda Torgerson, a daughter of Harry and Mary "Hazel" (Clark) Van Wagner, was born on September 21, 1942, in Buffalo, NY. She was raised and educated in Tonawanda, NY. After she graduated in 1961, Linda entered the United States Army, where she served as a clerk typist. She met Keith Torgerson in Oakland, CA while they were both serving. On June 8, 1963, they were married in Niagara Falls, NY. They were stationed in Germany; while they were there, she gave birth to twins, Katherine and David. In 1965, after her husband was discharged from the army, they returned to Bottineau; they moved back to Niagara Falls in 1967. Their daughter KarlaRae was born in 1970 and they returned to Bottineau in 1971. Linda opened a Daycare in their home. In 1981, they moved to Gardena and Linda started a cleaning business. Linda retired in 2004 and, in 2016, they moved back to Bottineau for good.
Linda was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved sharing her faith with others. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and doing puzzles. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and granddog, Ellie.
She is survived by her husband Keith; daughters, Katherine Hall and KarlaRae (Scott) Sivertson; grandchildren, Brittannie, David, Curtis, Kaitlin (Noe), Ethan (Lexi), Ashlyn, Kenna, Kevin (Samantha) and Kali. 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Grosgebauer (Mary) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son, David and her siblings.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
