Linda Blackwell, age 75 of Belcourt, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at a Minot hospital.  Her funeral will be held on Friday January 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Fiddler's Hall near Belcourt.  Visitation will start at 8:00 am with a rosary at 10:00 am.

Daughter of Jerome and Ernestine (ChipChee) Lavallie. Linda moved back to Belcourt whereas a single mother she worked at the casino for a time. Linda strived to provide the best life for her children.

Linda was a loving mother and grandma. She enjoyed playing at the casino, cards, board games and going to bingo. She also loved spending time at the lake and watching her favorite football team the 49ers.

She is survived by her children John Lavallie, Keith (Nicole), and Chris Blackwell, Wendy (Casey) Graves, Trevor (Sheena) Morin, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. Close family connections; Cindy, Stephanie Morin, Brian (Cathy) Morin, Gail (Christopher) Thomas, Brent Lenoir.

Linda was preceded in death by her long-time companion Steven (Chick) Morin, father Jerome Lavallie, mother Ernestine (ChipChee) Lavallie,
brothers Russell (Sonny) Lavallie, Dennis (Jack) Lavallie, Peter Lavallie, William (Porky) Lavallie, Sisters; Deborah (Skinny Cat) St. Claire, Doreen (Popsie) DeCoteau, Marsha Lavallie. Brother in laws; Joseph, David, and Anthony (Tonz) Morin.
