LaVonne Janzen, age 78 of Bottineau, died Wednesday,  at her home in Bottineau.  A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Bottineau.

LaVonne Janzen, a  daughter of Henry and Mabel (Cash) Gertz, was born on January 6, 1941 at Lakota.  She was raised on farm near Lakota.  After completion of her formal education, she worked as a CNA at the hospital in Devils Lake.  In 1962, she married LaVern Janzen in Lakota.  They moved to Bottineau, where LaVonne operated a daycare for many years.

LaVonne was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Bottineau.

She is survived by her husband, LaVern of Bottineau; sons, Keith Janzen of Ohio and Glen Janzen of Maryland and 6 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Donna, Betty and Sandy.
