Obituary

Larry Moline, age 88 of Willow City, died on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at a Rugby hospital.  His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at the First Lutheran Church in Willow City.  Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Masks are required at the funeral.

Larry Moline, a son of Albert and Anna (Tweten) Moline, was born on October 31, 1932 at Rolette, ND.  He was raised there and graduated from Rolette High School in 1950.  On December 1, 1951, he married Donna Thompson at Mylo, ND.  They made their home in Rolette.  Larry worked at Moline's Fairway, drove a semi-truck and worked at the Rolette Elevator while farming weekends and vacations.  In 1964, he became a lineman for North Central Electric.  In 1983, they moved to Willow City.  Larry retired from North Central Electric in 1994 after 30 years.  Larry loved farming so much that after retirement he continued working for local farmers as a hired man.  Donna passed away on July 17, 2016.

Larry was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Willow City.  He was also a member of the IBEW Union.  He enjoyed collecting John Deere toys and tractors, gardening, yard work, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by sons, Dwight Moline of Dunseith and Karl (Diane) Moline of Burlington; daughters, Candace Moline of Minot and Kerry (Duane) Bruns of Burlington; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Ruth Fylling of Fergus Falls, MN; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Thompson of Seattle and Alice Thompson of Hurst, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Larry was preceded in death 2 brothers, James Moline and Howard Moline; sister Lorraine Martinson; and a daughter-in-law, Clara Moline.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net .
