Larry Millang, age 77 of Bottineau, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at his home in Bottineau.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Larry Allen Millang, age 77 of Bottineau North Dakota, passed away on Friday July 4th.  He was born on July 12, 1947 in Rolette, the oldest of 5 children born of Clifford and Velma (Brennan) Millang.

He was raised on the family farm on Little Prairie north of Dunseith. Graduating from Dunseith High School in 1966.  He attended the School of Forestry before graduating from Mayville State College in 1970.

Larry taught Social Studies and was the principal at the high school in Hannah ND until its closure in 1980.

After working as a Counselor for Dakota Boys Ranch in Minot, he moved to Glendale California where he was united in marriage to Sharon Risdahl on July 3,1983, she passed away April 11, 2013.

He worked for the US Postal Service and as a Courier for a medical laboratory for several years in California and Nevada.

Due to ill health, he moved back to ND to be closer to family.  Finishing his working career at Walmart where he enjoyed meeting new people and visiting with old friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife, siblings Diane Volk and Clayton.

He is survived by his brother Mark (Deb), Rugby and sister Joanne  (Mark) Bernstein, Souris and several nieces and nephews.
