Kimberly Marie Azure was born on August 15th, 1974, to Lester & Elaine (Gladue) Azure in Belcourt, ND. Kimberly passed away at the age of 47 on July 11th, 2022, at the Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND surrounded by family & friends. Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  Her wake will be on Sunday starting at 4:00 pm at the church.

At birth, Kimberly was born with complications and was rushed to Minot, ND. She was then flown to Denver, CO for further treatment. Kimberly was then flown back to Minot where she stayed in the hospital for a few months before returning home. Who is / was she they wonder? Well, let me tell you, this blonde haired, beautiful, little girl who defied all odds since birth is/was one of the most beautiful, kindhearted and loving souls you would ever have the pleasure to meet, with the most radiant spirit. From the get-go she stole hearts with her spunky attitude and selfless ways.

Kimberly grew up with her mom, dad and older brother Kelly in Dunseith, ND. She attended Dunseith Public School from Kindergarten, until she graduated in 1992 with Valedictorian Honors. Kimberly then attended college in Bottineau and Whapeton. Kimberly's marriage that was later dissolved brought three beautiful children into the world, Taylor, Tiona, and Zayleigh. Kimberly was employed at the TMC – Benchmark plant in Dunseith until they closed their doors.

Kimberly enjoyed baking, cruising, traveling and was always up for an adventure. She loved spending time with her daughters, as well as her beautiful grandchildren, and absolutely loved her animals. At the time of her death, she lived at her home in Dunseith with her youngest daughter Zayleigh Jo.

Kimberly is survived by her parents; Lester and Elaine Azure, brother; Kelly (Dena) Azure Sr., her daughters; Taylor (Mike) Azure, Tiona (Joseph) Azure, and Zaleigh Jo Azure, Nephews; Kelly Azure Jr., Layne Azure, and Shane Counts. 7 beautiful grandchildren, Teyah, Amiah, Justyce, Sahayel, Joseph, Alainah, and LaRayne (all of Dunseith) whom she loved spending time with.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her Grandparents: John and Kathleen Gladue, Frank (Lum) & Agnes Azure. Uncles; Peter, Wayne, Larry Gladue and Sylvester (George) Azure, Aunts; Leona Davis, Rose (Lipchee) Davis and many numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
