Kim Schepp, age 68 of Bottineau, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at a Minot hospital. Her memorial service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Her service will livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/@MetigosheLutheranChurch/streams .
Kim Lynette Schepp, a daughter of Ken and Adrea (Hinkel) Sperry, was born on April 5, 1956 in Clyde, KS. She was raised in Lawrence, KS until moving with her family to Kindred, ND at the age of 4. Kim attended Kindred Public School and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1974. In 1978, she met Neil Schepp and they were married on April 10, 1981. They lived in Newburg, ND and had 2 daughters, Jessica and Kristie. She was recently reunited with her son, Charles Hanson who she gave up for adoption on March 28, 1976.
Kim made friends with anyone she met, which explains why she choose to work as a CNA/caregiver for many years.
Kim enjoyed baking, puzzles, sewing, Minnesota Vikings Football, planning large gatherings and staying connected with everyone. She also enjoyed pontoon rides and fishing at her favorite place, Lake Metigoshe, where she and Neil called home.
Kim was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved attending her grandchildren's events in person or watching them online. She loved cheering for her family and being the biggest fan.
She is survived by her husband Neil; daughters, Jessica (Mark) Orgaard and Kristie (Shannon) Brennan; son, Charles (Tracy) Hanson; grandchildren, Blake (Lexie) Schepp, Lucas and Makenna Orgaard, Rylee Brennan, Tristan Hanson, Memphis Hanson, Alexandria (Seth Vasary) Hanson and Jade (DeAndrew Braxton) Hanson; and several great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Becca) Sperry, Thad Sperry and Mother-in-law Janice Schepp, Sisters-in-law Nancy Schepp, Barb Rollie and Brothers-in-law Lynn Schepp, Gary (Joyce) Schepp, Gene (Ruth) Schepp, Lyle (Jerylyn) Schepp and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death with her father-in-law, Edwin Schepp; sister-in-law, Martha Schepp and numerous aunts and uncles.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book a www.nerofuneralhome.net.
