Kevin Lorenz, age 73 of Bottineau, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at a Bottineau hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kevin Lorenz, a son of Robert and Ruth (Elayer) Lorenz, was born on December 21, 1951 in Harvey, ND. He was raised there and graduated from Harvey High School in 1971. He entered the US Army on July 29, 1972 and served in Germany until receiving his honorable discharge on June 25, 1974. He then attended the Gem City College for Jewelry and Watching Making in Quincy, IL. There he met Laura Baird and they were married on February 26, 1977. They lived in Harvey before moving to Bottineau in 1978 and opened Lorenz Jewelry on Mina St in Bottineau.

Kevin enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of Bottineau; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Guderjohn of Minot; grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn Guderjohn; sister, Elynda (Dean) Johnson of Harvey; brothers, Robin Lorenz of Taylors, SC, Gregg (Karne) Lorenz of Harvey and Jason (Cheryl) Lorenz of Sioux Falls, SD; mother, Ruth Lorenz of Harvey and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lorenz.
