Keanen J. Poitra, age 27 of Fargo, formally of Dunseith, ND, died Saturday, May 30, in Fargo, ND. His funeral will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Michael of the Archangel Church in Dunseith. A wake will begin on Sunday at 6:30 P.M. in the church.

Keanon was born on September 18, 1992 in Belcourt, ND. He was raised by his father, Conway Poitra until he passed away. He was then raised and adopted by his grandparents, Gary and Ramona Poitra of Dunseith, ND. Keanen attended school in Dunseith. He was a construction worker and worked around the state of North Dakota. Keanen loved to joke with his family and friends. He loved the sport of basketball and was very competitive thru the years. Keanen will be missed by his family and friends.

Keanen is survived by his son, Kobe Jerome Poitra of Devil's Lake; siblings, Deven Poitra of Pennsylvania, Kayle Patneaude of Dunseith, Lucretia McGillis of Stanley, Savannah LaRocque of Belcourt, Cheyenne LaRocque of Belcourt and Weston Goureau of Belcourt; grandmother, Ramona Poitra of Dunseith and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Conway J. Poitra; twin sons, Rocky and Romeo Poitra; and one brother, Kirsten Dane Keplin.
