Joyce Flaata, age 81 of Bottineau, died Friday February 9, 2019 at a Bottineau hospital.

Joyce was born in Carbury, ND on December 21, 1938 to Minnie and Carl Iverson.  Joyce married Harlan Jennings Flaata in 1955.  They bought the farm from Harlan's father, Henry and raised cattle, pigs and wheat crops.  Harlan passed away on February 6, 2018

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Ann) Flaata and Steve Flaata; daughter, Peggy (3 dogs) Flaata, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Missy.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Leroy and grandson, Billie.

Services will be held at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center at a later date.  At that time Harlan and Joyce will be reunited and laid to rest at the Vinje Cemetery.
