Jill Thompson, age 55 of Upham, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at a Minot hospital. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Upham. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
Jill Thompson, a daughter of Warren and Linda (Froseth) Brandt, was born on March 6, 1969 in Bottineau. She was raised near Kramer, ND, and graduated from Newburg High School in 1987. She attended NDSU and graduated in 1991, with a Major in Medical Technology, and a Minor in Microbiology. On May 8, 1993, she married Bryan Thompson at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Upham. They made their home on a farm near Upham. Jill worked as a Medical Technologist at Trinity Hospital in Minot for 31 years.
Jill was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Upham. She enjoyed riding snowmobile with her husband and friends in their early years, helping her husband with the farm and ranch, going on hunting and camping trips to Colorado and various destinations throughout North Dakota, spending time doing arts and crafts or playing board games with her children and grandchildren, and all of the reunions, celebrations, and holidays with her family throughout the years. Jill also enjoyed the many trips with her mom, sister, daughters, and niece, as long as they could avoid those pesky roundabouts.
She is survived by her Husband of 31 years, Bryan; Children, Dylan (Karissa) Thompson of Minot, McKenna Thompson of Bismarck, and McKayla Thompson (Quinn Ward) of Minot; Grandchildren, Prudence, Kayson, and LilaJune; Mother, Linda Brandt of Kramer; Brother, Jay Brandt of Kramer; Sister, Jody Bullinger (Kevin Flagstad) of Minot, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Warren Brandt; Grandparents, Arthur and Gaynelle Froseth, and Ervin and Viola Brandt; Brother-in-law, Mark Bullinger; and Father-in-law, Maynard Thompson, Jr.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
