Jane
Geyer
Jan 6, 1951 — Dec 15, 2023
Jane Geyer, age 72 of Bottineau, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at a Minot hospital. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau with visitation at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
Jane Geyer, a daughter of Emil Sr and Doris (Slough) Lee, was born on January 6, 1951 in Rolette, ND. She was raised and attended school in Rolette. Jane then attended Josef School of Hair Design in Minot. On October 10, 1970, she married Raymond Geyer in Rolette. This marriage later ended. She made her home in Kenmare where she worked as a beautician at the Beauty Nook in the early years, then worked at the Super Value Grocery Store, and finished her employment with MTI until retiring. In 2012, Jane moved to Bottineau to continue her employment with MTI and to live closer to her family.
Jane was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Kenmare where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and was a member of the Ruth Circle for many years. Jane enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, gardening, sewing, baking, and reading. Jane made Christmas time very special by making Christmas ornaments for every grandchild, niece, and nephew with their name and year on them since 1975. These ornaments are just one example of her love for her family. She loved visiting and attending her family's school activities and was the best cheerleader anyone could ever have with her distinctive voice and unrelenting spirit.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendi (Shan) Tonneson of Bottineau; son, Wylie (Sherry) Geyer of Lisbon, ND; grandchildren; Sophie Peck, Kaitlin (Jordan) Urbach, Whitni Peck, Jamie Geyer and Si Tonneson. Siblings: Emil Lee, Jr., Carl (Marla) Lee, Susan Brakke and Kandis (Jamie) Kittleson; and several nieces and nephews.
