James Joseph Pochant, age 26 of Belcourt, began his journey to meet our creator on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. A memorial service and meal will be held in his honor on Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith, ND. He will be laid to rest after the service in the Rolla City Cemetery in Rolla, ND.

James Joseph Pochant, affectionally known as Joe, was born on December 19, 1991 in East Grand Forks, MN to Claudette (St. Claire) Pochant and Joseph Kehoe. He was a loving husband and father and worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed playing video games and strumming on his guitar. He loved playing board games with his sons and visiting with his mother and sister.

He is survived by his wife Bethany Pochant; his sons Nolan Wilson and Seth Chapman; his mother Claudette Pochant; his sisters Sarah Wootan, Snow Blue, and Special Blue; his nephews Tyler Ruiz, Tanner Wootan, and Rylan Murphy; his niece Tawny Wootan; his grandmother June St. Claire; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Joseph Kehoe; his grandfathers James Kehoe and Carl St. Claire; his grandmother Grandma Qutain; his uncles Clayton St. Claire and Willard St. Claire; his aunt Carmelita Renault; and his aunt and godmother Carol Levin.

Arrangement were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
