Henry Cree Sr. , age 80 of Dunseith, died on May 26, 2021 in a Dunseith Nursing Center.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith. A wake will begin on Wednesday at 4:00 P.M. in the Log Cabin. Burial will be held in the Sunrise View Cemetery north of Dunseith.

Henry Cree Sr,(Chulum) was born into this world on October 1, 1940 in Belcourt, ND to Francis Eagle Heart and Rose "old Eagle woman" Machipiness Cree. Eldest son of 14 children, he was raised in Dunseith, ND and stayed there most of his life. He traveled a lot and worked odd jobs when he was young. He then was a laborer for different construction jobs.  He was once marred to Louella Herman. Together they had 7 children, Henry Cree Jr., and Marcella (Terry) Cree of Duluth MN., Delvin Cree (Muffy) of Newtown, Mitchell Cree Sr. of Dunseith and Roger Cree Sr. of Newtown; Cheryl (Duane) Poitra of Dunseith, Shirley Cree of Duluth, MN; numerous grandkids, and lots of nieces and nephews; Brother, Arnold Cree; sisters, Doris Peltier, Darlene Belcourt, Debra (Curtis) LaRocque, Carol Cree, Becky Cree and Brenda Cree all of Dunseith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis "Eagle Heart" and Rose "Old Eagle Woman" Machipiness Cree; Brothers, Melvin Cree Sr., Leonard Cree Sr., Ronald Cree, Gerald Cree Sr., Victor Cree Sr.; and sister Connie Cree Bad Moccasin.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
