Harriette Nickelson, age 79 of Bottineau, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at a Minot hospital.  A private family service will be held.  Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

Harriette Nickelson, a daughter of Harold and Hazel (Dahl) Amsbaugh, was born on January 23, 1943 in Bottineau.  She attended Bottineau High School and graduated in 1961.  On September 8, 1962, she married Wayne Nickelson and they were blessed with 2 children, Dennis and Laurie.  She worked several jobs until August of 1967 when she got a position at the First National Bank in Bottineau where she worked for the next 48 years.  After retiring, she worked at Wal-Mart for a time.  Wayne passed away on November 26, 2009.

She is survived by her children, Dennis and Laurie; one grandchild, Steven (Alissa); one great-grandchild, Ryder; four claimed great-grandchildren, Adam, Alaya, Kayzlee and Kahann; brother, Dale (Diann) Amsbaugh and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death an infant sister, Loretta; 3 brothers, LeRoy "Bud", Marlin and Terry and sister-in-law, Lonna.
