Hailey Jean Hunt was born on June 3, 2004, in Belcourt, ND, to Donny Hunt and Kimberly Davis. She was raised in Dunseith, ND then later moved to Bottineau, ND where she attended elementary and high school.  She graduated from Bottineau High School in May of 2022.

Hailey was a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was employed at the Little Rascal Daycare in Bottineau, ND. She loved her job as a daycare worker. Her job was fitting as her caring and loving personality was able to shine through. In her spare time, she liked to spend time with friends and drive around town. She had a tremendous love for animals, but especially loved her dog, Sammy.

Hailey, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her home in Bottineau, ND.

Hailey is survived by her father Donny Hunt (Nicole), mother Kimberly Davis (Jason); brothers Taylor and Tanner Hunt all of Bottineau, ND; her fur baby Sammy; Paternal grandfather Larry Hunt Sr. of Dunseith, ND; Maternal grandparents Jeffrey and Dorothy Davis of Bottineau, ND; aunts and uncles Jackie (Will) of Bottineau, Larry Jr. (Ashley), Jennifer (Brian) of Dunseith, Serissa Davis of Arlington, TX; cousins, Jamason, Riley, Alexander, Rian, Alexis, Julian, Brayden, Kalen, Aniston, Elle, Jax, and Quinley; best friend and roommate Haley Hahn; numerous great aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

Hailey was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol Hunt; Great-Grandparents Elmer and Rose Nadeau; Don and Blanche Hunt.

Hailey's family would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude for all the kindness shown over the last few days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

While we mourn the loss of Hailey, let us celebrate the joy and love she brought into our lives. May her kind-heartedness and selflessness be an everlasting inspiration to all who knew her.

Rest in peace, "Hailey Bug." You will be profoundly missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of those lives you touched.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  There will be a time of lunch and fellowship at the Cobblestone in Bottineau following the service.
