Gloria Nickelson, age 83 of Bottineau, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2023 at a Bismarck hospital.  Her memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau.

Gloria Nickelson, a daughter of Everett and Florence (Hasenwinkle) Schultz, was born on April 9, 1940 at Omemee, ND.  She attended country school and later graduated from Bottineau High School in 1958.  She then attended secretary school in Nebraska.  She returned to Bottineau and worked at Olson's Implement.  On October 30, 1960, she married Wesley Nickelson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Willow City.  They made their home near Bottineau.  Gloria starting working as at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in 1972 and worked there until she retired in 2019. Wesley passed away December 2, 2020.

Gloria was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau where she was active in the Lutheran Braille Workers and the Ladie's Aid.

She is survived by daughters, Barb (Shawn) Browning of Daphne, AL and Leslie (Brian) Watson of Bismarck; son, Brad (Jodi) of Minot; grandchildren; Nathan (Puja) Browning, Briana (Andrew) Augustine, Patrick Watson and Lindsey Watson; great-granddaughter, Mila Browning; 2 great grandsons, Kane and Eli Augustine; siblings, Doris Leno of Bismarck, Jay Schultz of Arizona, Janice Schmidt of Mohall, Dennis Schultz of Wisconsin and Jeffery Schultz of Upham and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gloria was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenny Schultz and Duane Schultz and sister, Connie Sivertson

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
