Gary Richard, a son of Albert and Margaret (Krewson) Richard was born on October 27, 1945 in the suburbs if Philadelphia, PA.  He grew up there and was active in athletics.  He graduated from Trenton State College with a bachelors degree.  The beginning of his career was spent teaching industrial arts. Then he moved into the building materials industry which took him to FL, TX, GA, and NC.  Gary retired in 2008 and settled in Bottineau, ND.  He always wanted to move west to enjoy the wide open spaces, wildlife, and beautiful country.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, he spent many trips throughout the US and Canada fulfilling his hunting and fishing dreams. He taught his sons this passion and as he got older he loved hearing stories of his grandkids and their success in the woods and on the water. Sports were a staple in his life, following NDSU and many other teams. Always having a soft spot for dogs, in his latter years, Gary constantly had his black Lab, Murphy, by his side.

He is survived by his sons, Todd Richard and Craig (Laura) Richard all of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Destany, Mallory, Tate, Ben, Cora, and Ada; brother, BK (Emily) Richard of San Luis Obispo, CA and numerous cousins.

Gary's Family would especially like to thank First Lutheran Church, the Schmidt Family, and the many others who have been such a help during this time.
