Garrick Lee Martin passed away May 19, 2023, at his home in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 41. Funeral services for Garrick will be held at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Belcourt, ND on May 30, 2023 at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date and time at St. Ann's Cemetery.

Garrick was born April 16, 1982, in Belcourt, North Dakota to Wanda (Martin) Smith and Wayne John Nadeau. He was blessed with three children, Keaton, Kaitlan and Garrick, Jr.

Garrick had huge heart for his children, family, and friends and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.  Garrick got his GED in the late 80's and worked various jobs throughout the state of North Dakota.  He was jack of all trades and would do anything asked of him.  He loved to work on cars, on farms, in fast food, bartending and was excellent at beading and created some unique artifacts. He loved to tinker with just about anything and was skilled at fixing all things that were broken.  Garrick was a humble simple man, a loving father, son, brother, and friend.

Garrick is survived by his mother, Wanda A. Smith, Dunseith, ND., Stepfather, Stacy L. Smith, Belcourt, ND. Children: Keaton, Devils Lake, ND, Kaitlan, and Garrick Jr, Belcourt, ND. Brothers: Kevin, Gillette, Wyoming, Mathew (Jana), Thief River, MN., Joshua, Hill City, MN, and Bryce Smith, Richmond, KY.

Garrick is proceeded in death by his father, Wayne Nadeau, maternal grandparents Lloyd and Margaret (Grandbois) Martin, paternal grandparents, John and Edna (Poitra) Nadeau and various uncles, aunts and cousins.
