Earl Milbrath, age 90 of Bottineau, died Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home. His funeral will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Grace Lutheran Brethren Church in Bottineau. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
Earl Morris Milbrath, the son of Edward and Tillie (Fecho) Milbrath, was born on July 1, 1928 at Bottineau. He grew up in Bottineau County working on the family farm. On July 10, 1949, he married Pearl Marian Robertson in Bottineau. They made their home on the family farm where they raised a large family. They moved into Bottineau in 1968. He later retired and turned the farm over to "the boys". Pearl passed away on June 13, 2007. Earl recently moved into long term care at St. Andrew's Healthcare Center where he enjoyed many visitors.
He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Brethren Church in Bottineau. He enjoyed traveling with his family in their motorhome. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, cameras, belt buckles, doing puzzles, helping on the farm and spending time with his family.
Earl passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home in Bottineau.
He is survived by daughter, Kathy Botteicher of Minot; 3 sons, Paul and his wife, Rhonda, Douglas and Vernon all of Bottineau; 6 grandchildren, Chad (Dawn) Milbrath of Minot, Darin (Jackie) Milbrath of West Fargo, Jeremy (Ngoc) Hanson of Cedar Park, TX, Linnzi (Scott) Aberle of Minot and Nick (Katelin) Milbrath of Bismarck and Sara (Justin) Nikodem of Topeka, KS; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlys (Helmer) Miller of Livermore, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Earl was preceded in death by sister, Marion; son-in-law, Mark Botteicher; daughter-in-law, Debi Milbrath and great granddaughter Makenzie Milbrath.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
