Dwight Milbrath, age 61 of Gardena, died Sunday, May 31, 2020 at a Minot hospital.  His funeral will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

Dwight Milbrath, a son of Glen and Marilyn (Brusletten) Milbrath, was born on May 14, 1959 at St. Andrew's Hospital in Bottineau.  He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Gardena.  He attended grade school in Gardena and later graduated from Bottineau High School in 1977.  Dwight work at Olson's Implement for a short time until he was injured in a diving accident that left him a quadriplegic.  Dwight entered the Bottineau Good Samaritan Center in 2015 and later that year, he moved to Minot Health and Rehab and had resided there since.

Through all of Dwight's challenges, he never gave up nor did you hear him complain.  His passion was the farm.  There wasn't a day during seeding or harvest that you didn't see his van driving back and forth, field to field, doing whatever he could to help his dad and brothers.  Many times, he would have his nieces or nephew riding with him.  They all loved uncle Dwight.

He is survived by his brothers, Dean (Tami) Milbrath of Gardena; Donn (Bobbi) Milbrath of Bottineau; nieces, Jenna (Travis) Nelson, Stephanie (Jesse) Kittleson, Heather Milbrath (Matthew Drader), and Miranda Milbrath (Nick Amsbaugh); nephew, Taylor (Hunter) Milbrath; great nieces and nephews, Sienna, Hailey and Kynlee Nelson and Waylon Milbrath.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
